After graduation from Kimball, Shirley Wright worked briefly as a cashier at the Piccadilly Cafeteria in downtown Dallas while preparing to attend Dallas Baptist College. After one semester at DBC, she returned to work for one year, then went back to college.

Shirley married her longtime boyfriend, Horace R. Lewallyn of Lancaster, on October 17, 1970, and they recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Their family consists of two sons and one daughter, Shirley's oldest son is married, but she is not yet a grandmother. After Horace returned from Vietnam they moved to San Antonio while he served the remainder of his military service commitment, then returned to the Dallas area, ending up in Mesquite.

Shirley has worked for a small manufacturing company just south of the Convention Center near downtown Dallas for over 13 years, but her main job has been that of mother and homemaker. You can contact Shirley via e-mail at HRLSAL@cs.com, and she would enjoy hearing from her good friends at Kimball.
